Hi, I’m Michele. A Michigan based writer and dreamer. A soul made of wildflowers and September sunlight. I believe in the power of words, art, and the catharsis of creation. In the softness of seasons and holding duality in the palm of our hands. Of tending to our soil with wonder and compassion. Sharing our stories is what keeps us connected to each other like the spine of a book, or roots of a tree.
My deep love for words started as a child reading in the school library and writing in cards to loved ones. They are a way for me to heal, feel, and understand the world not only around me but within me as well. Words have a way of etching into our lives, into our souls, and wrapping around our hearts like ribbons of gold. They meet us at every emotion, bringing us back home to ourselves, to our bodies.
When I am not writing, you can find me reading memoirs, poetry, and cheesy romance novels. Hiking (or snuggling) with my rescue dog, Sparky. Listening and dancing to music, my other form of therapy.

Remember to trust the softness that arises after the fall. Move towards the rivers where surrender swims, carving through soil, cattails, and the grief gathered at your chest. Collecting the nutrients and strength, to become the ocean you always knew you were.
